Warm portrait of therapist
Clinical Lead

Hello, and welcome.

I am a BABCP‑accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Qualified Mental Health Social Worker with extensive clinical experience across both NHS and private services. Over my career, I have dedicated myself to understanding the complexities of the human mind and helping individuals navigate life's most difficult challenges. I know firsthand that taking the very first step into therapy is often the hardest and most courageous part of the journey, which is why I am deeply committed to providing a safe, confidential, and completely non-judgmental space for you to heal and grow.

I specialise in delivering rigorous, evidence‑based CBT tailored for adults, children, and young people. My core areas of clinical expertise include:

  • Depression, Anxiety & PTSD: Equipping you with practical tools to manage overwhelming emotions and safely process past trauma.
  • Neurodivergent Support: A deeply rooted passion for supporting individuals navigating ADHD and Autism (ASD).
  • Adapted CBT: Because traditional models can fall short, I utilise tailored approaches that genuinely honour your unique strengths, respect your sensory processing styles, and accommodate your individual needs.

Clients consistently describe my approach as exceptionally compassionate, practical, and deeply attuned to their day-to-day lived experiences. My therapeutic style beautifully blends structured, highly effective CBT techniques with creative, accessible strategies to ensure our sessions feel safe, engaging, and genuinely transformative. I currently practise as an independent CBT and adapted-CBT therapist, providing high‑quality psychological interventions designed to equip you with the practical tools you need to move forward with clarity, confidence, and lasting positive change.

My Philosophy

My Approach to Therapy

Therapy is not something that is "done to you"—it is a collaborative partnership. Here is how I view the therapeutic process.

1. Radical Empathy

You will never be judged in my consulting room. Whether you are sharing your deepest fears or admitting to behaviors you feel ashamed of, my only response will be curiosity and profound empathy. We must understand the "why" before we can change the "what."

2. Active Collaboration

I will not sit in silence and just nod. While I listen deeply, I am also an active participant in our sessions. We will brainstorm together, gently challenge unhelpful thoughts, and collaboratively build a toolkit of strategies you can use in the real world.

3. Evidence-Based

While our relationship will feel warm and human, the techniques we use are rooted in rigorous science. I continuously update my training to ensure I am utilizing the most effective, research-backed modalities available in modern psychology.

Credentials & Training

I hold myself to the highest professional standards. I am fully insured, undergo regular clinical supervision, and am registered with the leading governing bodies for psychology in the UK.

Professional Background

Before establishing Willow Wellbeing Service, I spent several years working within specialized NHS adult mental health services, managing complex caseloads ranging from severe depression and anxiety disorders to PTSD.

I eventually transitioned into private practice to offer a more tailored, flexible, and premium service to clients, free from the constraints and long waiting lists often found in public health systems.

Personal Insight

A Quick Q&A

A few personal insights to help you get to know me better before we meet.

What inspired you to become a therapist?
I've always been fascinated by human resilience. Early in my career, I witnessed how profoundly a safe, supportive relationship could change the trajectory of someone's life. I wanted to dedicate my career to facilitating that change for others.
What is your favourite part of the job?
The moment a client realizes they have the power to change their own narrative. Seeing the physical relief on someone's face when they finally untangle a complex emotional knot is incredibly rewarding. It is a privilege to witness that growth.
How do you manage your own wellbeing?
Therapists need to practice what they preach! I maintain strict boundaries around my working hours, engage in regular clinical supervision, and prioritize daily mindfulness practices. I also love hiking in the countryside—nature is my ultimate reset.
What should I do if I'm nervous about our first session?
It is completely normal to feel anxious before your first session! Most people do. Please remember that there are no "wrong" answers, and you don't need to prepare anything. Just show up exactly as you are, and I will gently guide the conversation.
